10/01/08 - A recompensa do mar / The sea´s reward

Após a chegada dos intercambistas que não dormiram no hotel em São Paulo, tomamos o café da manhã e aproveitamos para trocar cartões e conhecermo-nos melhor. Então, FINALMENTE, começamos a Super viagem dos sonhos.

Depois de 7 horas de sono, filmes e tédio dentro do ônibus, vimos os primeiros sinais do Rio de Janeiro: Cristo Redentor, Pão de açúcar e muitas favelas. Por causa do trânsito pesado, demoramos mais tempo para chegar na praia de Copacabana... que nos desapontou um pouco , talvez por causa do dia que estava nublado e não nos pareceu tão glamuroso quanto na TV.Mas no nosso tempo livre após o check-in ( em ótimo hotel) tomamos um refrescante banho de mar, o que fez valer a viagem de ônibus.Após o jantar em um restaurante fora do hotel, fomos à uma feira típica (feirinha) de Copacabana, onde todos compraram souveniers.

No geral, tivemos um ótimo começo e estamos ansiosos pelos próximos 34 dias com os 41 intercambistas de todo o mundo! "

"São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro

After the last exchanges who didn´t sleep in the hotel in São Paulo arrived, we had breakfast together to change cards and get to know each other.
Then, FINALLY, we started the SUPER DREAM TRIP…!
After 7 hours of sleeping, watching movies and feeling bored in the bus, we saw the first sights of Rio de Janeiro: Cristo Redentor, sugarloaf and lots of favelas. Because of the rug e traffic it took some more time to arrive at our hotel in front of Copacabana beach… wich disappointed some of of us a little, maybe because it was cloudy and didn´t lode as glamourous as in TV.But in our free time after the check-in (in a great hotel !) we took a refreashing bath in the sea that made the bus trip worthy.

After the dinner at a restaurant (not in the hotel) we went to a typical market where everybody bought souviniers.

All and all, we has a great start and are looking forward to to the next 34 days with the 42 exchange students from all over the world!"
