“Today we visited four beaches near Itacaré. On the way, in the bus, it began to rain and we had to wait for the rain to stop before we could start the activity. There was a small trail which was the only access to the beaches. The rain was still falling a little until we arrived at the first beach. The wet trail made us dirty while we were walking in the forest. The beach was incredible beautiful. We all took lots of pictures. Swimming in the sea was great, with many waves, but they were quite dangerous, because of the water currents we needed help to get out of the water.
After, we went to another beach, the forest trail was always near the sea. It started raining again while we were walking on the trail, this showed us that Brazil is a tropical country. We arrived at the second beach, which was smaller, but was nice too and there was the chance to eat “tapioca”, tropical fruits and coconut juice.
The trail to the third beach was more difficult, because it was wet, there was no solid footholds to walk, and the majority of us were in “Havaianas” (Popular Brazilian sandals). We arrived tired and wet, yet we were still fascinated with the marvelous view, a view without houses, cars or many people.
To arrive at the last beach was the most difficult, many of us fell and it took a little longer to arrive. Still, the view was amazing! We ate lunch at the last beach but it rained so we were all very cold.
This day we realized some of us were city slickers, not accustomed to the nature walks, others loved the nature, yet we all participated in the adventure”.
